We collect some personal information from you when you sign up for a zCFD free license. We collect this data as part of the contract of providing the zCFD free license.

When you sign up for a free license we may collect and process the following personal data:
Your email address is used to send you your free tier license file and for email communications. When you sign up you are also given the option of adding your email address to our newsletter, if you do this then you will also be sent the occasional email relating to zCFD or other Zenotech services. You cam opt-out of this mailing list at anytime by following the links on the emails.
We may collect information about your computer, including where available your IP address, operating system and browser type, for system administration and to help improve our service. We make use of Google Analytics to track site usage and browsing actions, we don’t pass any personal account information to Google but your IP address and browser information will be processed by Google Analytics. This information will be removed from Google Analytics after 14 months of inactivity and only non identifying aggregate data retained. We do not pass any account identifiers to Google Analytics.
If you choose to purchase a zCFD license your billing details are stored with a 3rd party system (Xero). This is stored purely for billing purposes and will not be used for marketing or passed onto anyone else
We use RLM licensing technology in order to provide the zCFD software license to you. The licensing technology collects information about the unix username and machine hostname as part of this process to enforce the terms of the level of licensing for which you are entitled to in using the zCFD software. This information is stored purely for licensing entitlement checks and is not used for any other purposes.
The data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”). It may also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work for us or for one of our suppliers. By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.
All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Athough we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.
